Heritage tourism in Vilnius
Dear respondets, I am a student of Tourim and Hospitality Management in University of Sunderland. I am doing a report about heritage tourism in Vilnius city with aim to investigate the importance of heritage tourism in Vilnius city. As willing to do a comparison between local people's and tourists opinion, I would appreciate if you filled my questionnaire. Have you noticed any changes in the city that made it more attractive for tourism ? If yes, please mention what was it
- Yes, there is orange bicycles in Vilnius, buses which can choose a destination quicklier. Also, there is palace of grand dukes which was build several years ago, bernardinai garden was renovated. These changes attract more.
- More attracrions. Lower castle and Bernardines' garden. Sapieha castle
- More historical sites to visit, better travelling by public transport, more sites are available to visit for disabled people

- Yes, there was a palace of Dukes rebuilt, the public transport was renewed, the Gediminas Castle was renewd as well. Vilnius ir becoming more and more attractive for tourists
- Yeah, there are much more places where you can find information not only in Russian but in English language.
- The city have changed obviously, the main historic monuments were restored also the palace of the grand Dukes was rebuilt as it was in the past. Vilnius is improving public transport. A lot new events and cultural festivals are happening. Vilnius is becoming more and more attractive
- Yes. Cleaner city, new pavements, safe streets, loads of worldwide companies, renovated and cleaned cultural places,public transportation all around the city.
Did it have any influence on your casual life? Maybe it made it more comfortable?
- Buses which were meant, have an influence. Of course it is comfortable. You can reach a destination quicklier. And tourists also can see more.

Do you think that Vilnius city is authentic city? If yes, what makes it authentic?
- Yes, some buildings you can see in other countries, but I think that Vilnius history is authentic. For example, Gedimina's dream about city, about Gediminas tower

- Yes. Every city is authentic in its own way and Vilnius is not an exception. The city has lots of history and there are so many monuments that you can visit now.

Why? What does it reflects?
- Gediminas tower is on hill, so you can see a beautiful panorama. Buildings are smaller than, for example, In other Europe countries.
- All periods of the state development
- Because of the history and secrets that they keep and the beauty and authenticity of the city.
- All this is authentic in Vilnius.
- It reflects the history of Vilnius, the past that is represented for present people, also the traditions of Lithuanians
- They're the best-known places in Vilnius.
- It reflects our history, events that happened in Vilnius
- It reflects all the Vilnius oldest places and from Three Cross hill or Gediminas Castle you can see all the city centre. Also TV tower is amazing place to visit, to look at all the city from above.
- Attractions in Vilnius old town represent the authentic culture if this city. While TV tower is overall a very nice place to see the beautiful panorama of this capital. The events are worth visiting too, because there you can have some fun with locals.
- Old town- the most cozy place in vilnius Street music day- shows the spirit of the city and connects all age generations Dainu svente- shows the deep traditions of the baltic countries and the power of music which is historicaly important for us (sausio 13)
