What does bread mean to you personally? (Base it on your family's traditions and personal opinion)

It means work of many people before it comes onto our-tables.It also means the memories of my childhood when i was watching my mother getting ready for making bread in the country oven.It is the cosy warmt6h inthe house and the beautiful smell of the fresh bread.And it is alittle round loaf for me and my brother's with aa egg baked inside ,which was called cuckcoo's bread-a special trat for children,And, finally,it's my visit to my godmother with aloaf of freshly baked bread as apresent of love and gratitude from my mother.
  3. brad its one of the main things that i eat in a day time. i can do anything with it- fry it, eat alone or make sandwiches

  7. I love bread very much, I dont imegine a boul of soop without it. It also now becomes a luxurity, because real, good, full grained bread is kind a expensive in Lithuania. I think bread is the second thing (after my family) what I would miss if I am not in Lithuania.

  10. Its a good stuff! You can make snacks for beer, sandwich, use it as a side for other dishes.
  11. My current favorite food. So fast, no need to cook. Specially for studentsor people who're living alone and focusing on research and studies(like me) and have no time and nobody to cook , but need cheaper meal, Bread is the best food. Bread ~ life. Bread and mild Cheese with tomato slices...with a cup of coffee or tea ..you're in heaven, what else you need to be happy in the world? ps: Hello, I have written too much, but i hope it'll be helpful to you, i just wanted to help your research, if you can suggest some ways to improve the what you plan to, definitely it's going make a difference, may be a pleasant smile from the baker....would make the bread greater. wish you good luck for the research.

  22. When I'm abroad, one of the first food items I miss from Germany is the bread. I love good bread.
  23. Well personally i was taught to respect bread (food) because you have energy and you can move. Well, at first, it may sound stupid, but as i was child it was trully meaningfull.

  27. Bread is the simplest and most healthy food. A breakfast without bread is not a real breakfast... Bread is the typical food you give to your children in the afternoon break (for example, a slice of bread with butter and sugar on it was the sweetest thing I loved to eat when I was a child...)

  29. When I'm abroad apart from family and friends I miss Lithuanian bread the most of all. To me it symbolizes home and coziness.
  30. I don't it bread so much, because I'm in a diet now. But I remember from kindergarten how governess gave me a piece of bread with salt and I used to think that there is nothing more delicious than that. In my family we make bread ourselves or buy it in Lithuania/Latvia, because in Belarus it's rather hard to find good bread.

  32. Bread is a basic food for me, a good and warm bread means home for me. I really miss here in Latvia the weekend sandwiches in the mornings.

  35. In my family all of us likes bread very much, just my little brother eats loafs. Every Saturday my parents buy bread from special bakery in my town, we do not buy bread from shops because it is not the same like real bread. Bread is special, bread is good and tasty.

  43. I like having few bits of bread right after the main meal, because it helps cleaning your mouth from strong flavours or because some loafs are just good :)

  45. I don't eat bread almost at all, only sometimes, very rarely. For me it is only one tipe of carbohydrates that goes changed by pasta, buckwheat, cou cous or potatoes, also rise at times. I don't have very strong conection with bread, I do't feel to like it very much, but in my family it is used a lot and there no a day without bread at home, I guess it comes from the past and it is only a habit to use it. I'd rather choose variety.
  46. Well, it a fine way of expresing yourself- thousands of recipes of bread. But realy it plays a big role in our eating habits and maybe good way of communication- making bread with your mom, slicing home made bread and feeling how different it is from bought in shop.
