What does bread mean in your culture? (What does it represent in your country's culture?)
in past it was tradition to welcom hosts with bread and salt
It's important. Lots of people will eat bread as their dinner with cheese, cold meats etc.
Well in our country's culture I would say the meaning would be the same as my association. It is shown that bread in our country (at least in the past) was made with our parents sweat and hard work. If you want to survive all you need is bread and water so probably bread represents life.
It is associated with the main food
Homelad, village.
i dont know because i do not eat it ,very rare
Typical traditions of our country
(and ingredients differ from town to town...)
Something essential that must be on your table (you can't imagine to have lunch or dinner without a loaf of bread on your table...)
the bread is one of the principal food in all the countries
Bread in Lithuanian culture was highly respected. It symbolized fertility and was called holy. If fallen on the floor, people would pick it up with appology and a kiss.
It's the main food in my country, we like both black and white bread, many people can't it anything without bread and almost all Belarusians can't eat soup without it. During the war people made chess and other useful stuff from bread.
