A person-family-society bond (children-parents-friends-society members)

- Have you noticed any differences in the relationships between family members in Lithuania and your country?

  1. i don't know deeper about Lithuanian traditions, but in my country /Armenia/ parents are taking care about their children during their all life for example, children can marrige and live with them during their all life, and it's normal, or in my country if girl want to go to somewhere she have to notice about it her parents and brother, if they don't allow her to go, she couldn't do it as she want
  2. No, norms are the same.
  3. There are less close than in belgium
  4. No
  5. Yes. In my country family is the most important thing. When u agree to marry u will agree to be with that person and love that person until the end. In Lithuania I don't think it's so valuable like in mine.
  6. Parent-children relationships are stronger and more longlasting in my country because young people usually are materially dependent on their parents for a long time. It isn't common to work during university studies and even after marriege͡ (when couples are very young). But for Georgian parents it isn't a big problem to help their children without any concerns. I think this issue would be approved in another way in Lithuania.
  7. Yes, a was less comunicative than Spanish people
  8. In comparison with my country family members in Lithuania are more open-minded
  9. No

- How different would you say friendship is between Lithuanian people compared to the people of your country?

  1. we are very friendly, and if you have friends your friendship are more deeper, friends in Armenia, like relatives and brother-sister relationship, we are like family mambers, i don't think that in Lithuania it was the same.
  2. Coudn't find any difference.
  3. Same between same sex, different between men and women
  4. Relations between people are as friendly as between people from my country
  5. I have been living in Lithuania for 2 years and don't have any normal, close friends. I think I wouldn't trust to Lithuanian friend.
  6. Friendship is Friendship everywhere, nationality doesn't matter at all (ERASMUS tought me):)
  7. Straightforward people
  8. I dont see any difference
  9. It is much harder to make friends with lithuanians especially for foreigners, especially for Russian speaking people
  10. maybe here, the relationshship between friends are more colder... and they drink more :D

- Would you say that Lithuanian families are different or similar to families in your country (in number of family members, traditions, attitude to family, etc.)? Explain.

  1. maybe, in my country children are asking their parents everything, (as a difference),in general, brothers are making decision for their sisters, in lot of families doughters can't go clubs and come back at the morning (but it depends on which part of country you are living)
  2. Similar/ the same.
  3. Number - yes/ traditions - i cannot know/ attitude to family - i cannot know
  4. Same
  5. Indeed. It's different. We value our tradition in my country. Men should be a bit higher than a women. I'm not saying unequal or something else. In my country men respect and love women more than in any country in the world. That's why divorce rate is low in my country.
  6. In Georgia, nowadays, living religiously is very popular and a lot of families are trying to rise their children religiously. They usually go to church together with their children on Sundays. I think families are otherwise similar with lithuanian ones.
  7. No.
  8. They are not so related with children in their own family in comparison with families of my own country
  9. Similar
  10. maybe just traditions are different... in rest, the new trends are almost everywhere...

- Why do you think there are differences between Lithuanian and your country’s families, society and friendships?

  1. yes , i think there are. Overall we are different countries, nations, otherwise it can not be
  2. There are not because Poland and Lithuania are culturally very similar.
  3. We are all europeen, i suppose there are not a lot difference
  4. I would say behavior. Parents shouldn't grow their sons as girls.
  5. As my country is in the crossroad of Aisa and Europe, our traditions are also mixed between Europe and Asia. But Lithuania is located in Europe, so traditions are more western. But both our countries were members of Soviet union, which made our points of view similar towards many things.
  6. Different countries, different locations, different climates
  7. Open mindedness,friendship,respect-these elements are more present in Lithuanian's families and society in comparis with my country
  8. The history teaching approach is very subjective and intolerant, nationalistic. People are conservative and influenced by propaganda. The absent of the wish of reconsidering the situation, opening their mind and critically evaluating the situation
  9. If they are, it's because the distance between us, we have had different influneces, diferent history and traditions, aslo the religion...
  10. Nothing
