Birthday celebration traditions in East Asian countries (China, South Korea and Japan) and Lithuania

Is any of your birthdays more important than others? For example your first birthday and the others that you had?

  1. 20th. You can legally drink and smoke, and will be treated as adult.
  2. Not really.
  3. Nope.
  4. Your 100 days birthday is very very important in Korean culture.
  5. I took a trip with my friend, it was a great and memorable birthday.
  6. The one I had in London was so special. My girlfriend made birthday gifts for me and she didn't "bought", she "made". It was so precious.
  7. 20 year old birthday? In Japan, turning 20 has a special meaning. They start being regarded as adults.
  8. yes
  9. no
  10. Our 18th birthday is the most imfortant I think. Because it is the margin from child to adult. When you are 18 years old in Lithuania you can buy alcoholic drinks, you can get driver's licence, you are legally not depending on you familly by law, you are responsible of yourself. Also every 10ths and 5ths are celebrated a little bigger that usual birthdays. These anniversary birtdays, like 45 or 60 is often celebrated in restaurants or in some booked place because it is more easy to celebrate with a lot of people.
