Birthday celebration traditions in East Asian countries (China, South Korea and Japan) and Lithuania
If you have any relatives near you, maybe you can ask them a few questions about birthday celebrations? Maybe they can share some wisdom and tell me a little about their childhood memories regarding birthday celebrations? I would kindly appreciate that.
They mostly having birthday party in their house and even a cake was too luxury so they celebrate with home made food.
yes
Not in the moment.
My father said he ate delicious meal in his birthday.
I asked my father (who's over 70 years old) what birthday celebration traditions they had when he was young and he said that they didn't really even celebrate birthdays, it was a completely regular day. Instead they would all celebrate name-days. However I'm not sure whether it was the case in all of Lithuania of just his village/area.
My mom said that in her childhood no one was enjoying celebrating birthdays, that wasn't popular like these days.
Sorry, I don't

That would be too long. You could get more answers if you would use multi-choice questionnaire instead of open questions, dear
My mom mostly remembers me selecting a cake and inviting over my close kindergarden friends. And then just games games and games.
