Birthday celebration traditions in East Asian countries (China, South Korea and Japan) and Lithuania

Do you celebrate your birthday alone or with your relatives/friends? Why?

  1. depends on situation, sometimes alone, sometimes with friends. Last few years it is not so important day for me
  2. If my friends have time on my birthay, I would meet them. If not - I would be alone. it depends in which city I am on my birthday, if I am in my hometown, i would be with my family, no big celebration, more like little dinner together, maybe some cake, or ice cream, because my birthday is on summer.
  3. Usually I am with my family, because I live with my family.
  4. With my family My mother made chocolate cake for me.
  5. Usually I celebrate with my relatives and friends but it depends on the situation - sometimes I am abroad at the time of my birthday, other times a lot of my family members or friends are unable to make it to my birthday. I don't make a big deal out of it, as I usually never plan and specifically invite people - I just prepare a cake and some snacks in case people come and just go with the flow. I do like to be with people close to me on my birthdays because it makes the day feel special - otherwise it just feels like a regular day.
  6. I often celebrate two times : one with my family and another one with my one and only best friend, cause we like to be alone and have fun just two of us :)
  7. I always celebrate my birthday with my friends, because I can have a lot of fun, adventures and smiles around me.
  8. With my family and... With my friends, because they are my family too.
  9. Friends and family. If you call birthday pie eating a celebrating.
  10. I celebrate it with family and closest relatives because I do not like large celebration.
